2017 COLOR OF THE YEAR - GREENERY
The start of a new year brings with it many new things, namely a fresh start - a chance to reset and reevaluate our lives.
A new year also brings with it the much anticipated announcement of Pantone's color of the year. Given the current mood of the world (following a much talked about US election and all the stresses of an ever-changing, fast past lifestyle), Pantone has selected a color symbolic of new beginnings - one that we might say is meant to inspire and give hope. The 2017 color of the year, Greenery, is a "refreshing and revitalizing shade". It is a beautiful yellow-green shade, that according to Pantone, "evokes the first days of spring" and makes us want to "take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate".
We love this color so much and can't wait to incorporate in into our 2017 collections. That said, we thought we would give you a head start with 5 easy ways to add touches of greenery into your daily life!
1. Accessorize With a Pop of Color
The easiest way to incorporate greenery in your life, is to pick up a fun accessory in this shade (or related hue). We are loving the idea of adding a bold green bag to a neutral outfit! But you can op for a bright green earring or necklace, how about a scarf, or phone case? The options are endless - the key is to have fun!

2. Go Bold At Home
If you are like us, and are in love with this color, why not add some accents to your home decor? You can go as bold as changing up main areas, like your stairs, doorways, or painting out accent walls. Or go simple, and add a few pillows in this shade or paint out some old vintage chairs that can easily be repainted when you get tired of the color.

3. Get a Green Thumb
Not only will you be learning a new skill, but your will be so on trend. Cacti and succulents are so popular these days. Why not pick up a few at your local green house and go online and learn all about these hearty plants. Keep them inside in pretty concrete pots, or outside to adorn your backyard oasis.

4. Go Military
Military inspired jackets (my J.Crew field jack is one of my favourites) continue to grace runways and upcoming Spring collections. These lightweight, versatile coats can be paired with casual outfits, like jeans and a tee, or layered on top of printed dresses and trousers.

5. Green up your Canine
Don't leave your pooch out of the mix! Step up your walks with a green bandana or collar for your furry friend.
