Easy & Healthy Valentine's Day Gummies For Your Dog

These heart shaped gummies are not only easy to make, but are super healthy for your furry bff. What makes this giggly substance so good for your dog? Well, gelatin contains collagen, which is used by the body to manufacture cartilage and bone. Studies have shown that it improves flexibility and can relieve joint pain. Great for dogs suffering from arthritis, hip dysplasia, and other inflammatory conditions. Along with joint health, this super food has amino acids in it that are beneficial for your dog's skin, coat and digestive system. Some studies have even found it to be a good supplement for dogs suffering from epilepsy.

GUMMIES FOR YOUR DOG

STRAWBERRY GUMMIES

INGREDIENTS

3-4 strawberries
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup hot water
1 Tbsp plain unflavoured gelatin*
Heart shaped silicon mold

* I would reccomend Knox unflavoured gelatin or Great Lakes Gelatin

DIRECTIONS

1. Blend the strawberries with 1/4 cup of water until smooth. Pour the strawberry puree into a bowl.
2. Sprinkle 1 Tbsp of gelatin over the strawberry puree. Then add 1/4 cup of hot (boiling) water to the puree and gelatin and mix well, until fully dissolved.
3. Pour the liquid into silicon molds. (Tip: Used a measuring cup or cup with a lip to help pour into mold.
4. Chill for 3 hours, then remove from mold and cover. Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
